3lassen und die Beschlußvorlage des
4Rates in die Volksversammlung einbringen, wonach
5der Rat beschließt, zu belobigen
6die Stadt der Tenedier und ihren
7Repräsentanten Aratos und seine
8Brüder - - - und
9Kallistotimos und - - - die
10Kinder des - -atimos und zu bekränzen
11jeden von ihnen mit einem Oliven-Kranz;
12dass sie auch, wenn sie einer
13Vergünstigung für würdig befunden werden,
14seitens des Volkes der Athener auf eine solche rechnen
15dürfen; dass man belobige auch den Mann,
16der von Tenedos gekommen ist, und ihn lade
17zum Festbankett in das Prytaneion für
18morgen. –

18          Philodemos S.d. Autokles
19aus dem Demos Eroiadai stellte den Antrag: das andere,
20wie vom Rat (beantragt); dass ferner
21diesen Beschluss auf eine steinerne
22Stele aufzeichne der Sekretär des Rates
23und aufstelle auf der Akropolis; dass für
24die Aufzeichnung auf die Stele der
25Schatzmeister des Volkes - - -
26Drachmen gebe aus dem Dekret-
27Fonds des Volkes.

to preside in the People at the]
1next Assembly shall introduce
2Aratos to the People and put his case on the agenda,
3and submit the opinion
4of the Council to the People that
5it seems good to the Council, to praise the
6city of the Tenedians and their
7representative, Aratos, and
8his brothers, [Megatimos?] and
9Kallistotimos and -
10children of [Mega?]atimos and crown
11each of them with a [foliage] crown;
12and they shall be permitted to seek
13from the Athenian People whatever benefit
14they may be deemed to be worthy of;
15and to praise the man who has come
16from Tenedos and invite him
17to hospitality in the city hall
18tomorrow. –
II
18        Philodemos son of Autokles
19of Eroiadai proposed: in other respects
20as proposed by the Council, but the secretary
21of the Council shall inscribe
22this decree on a stone stele
23and stand it on the acropolis; and for
24inscribing the stele
25the treasurer of the People shall give [20 or 30]
26drachmas from the People’s fund
27for expenditure on decrees.
